You may take this quiz as many times as you need in order to pass.  I realize it has been a while since some of you have read E.  🙂

That quiz was so much fun – I wonder which one I got wrong, though?

    • Kate

You did great, Sharon! The one you got wrong was the question about Apollon, and it’s proving to be a little tricky for other people, too. Choose carefully, folks! 😉

    Kate,

I can’t thank you enough for this series. I haven’t been so engrossed in another world in years. I’ve read all four books in three days, and even when I sleep I’m dreaming of the world and the characters. You’ve created something special, and I thank you for bringing these feelings to me.

    • Kate

That’s so incredibly sweet, Danielle, and it means a lot to me! Thanks for letting me know! I think the world of E has grown so far beyond just me, now. You have your own little piece of it, and I’m so happy to share it with you!

  3. Teresa

    Kate,
I am in love with your writing. I hope you write one more book. I am so not ready to be done with this story. I’m begging you, please!!!!!!

    • Kate

Don’t worry. When it comes down to it, I don’t think I could *stop* writing. So there will be many books to come. I really do write because I love to write. It’s been an awesome experience sharing it with people, but ultimately, putting words to paper is just my thing. I plan to keep on writing as long as I’m able.

Love your enthusiasm, Teresa! I hope you enjoy the next book as much as the ones you’ve already read. 🙂

  4. Deborah Anne

I have not yet read the 3rd book, and was bad and skipped to the prequel. I hope that the history of “the Turn” and the political structure after are explained in the last book. Aside from that, I have loved living in these wolds. And since I live in Florida, I’ve really enjoyed the geography of the prequel.

I have one pet peeve about your writing however: the dissonance between subject and verb when using singular nouns such as each. I am surprised that your editor allows this. Perhaps I am an old grammar nerd, and the times are a-changing. That aside, I have enjoyed watching your writing develop from the first book on. I look forward to the stories you have within you. You are a wonderful story teller!

    • Kate

Thanks, Deborah! I would love to hear your perceptions about the third book after reading the prequel first. There are definite spoilers in the prequel, but I think you’ll enjoy it anyway.

As for grammar rules, I consciously break them (like crazy) in order to keep the narration realistic. You may be a grammar nerd, I may be a grammar nerd, but neither Eden nor Lily are grammar nerds. Sometimes the act of breaking a rule will be so incredibly painful that I just find a different way to write a sentence. But when it comes down to the way that people speak, I pretty much let it fly. Sorry if it bothers you. I’ll whack Eden on the knuckles with a ruler or something. (That just happened in my mind, and she punched me. No more knuckle-whacking. Ouch.) :p

Thanks, Lynn! 🙂 It was the “Apollon’s first love is…” question. Seems to be giving a lot of people trouble. Maybe I was too tricky.

  5. Denise

You are a phenomenal writer! I can not express in words how much I loved this entire series. Although, I really don’t understand why Jason didn’t want Lily to read the diary. She staged the kidnapping. He didn’t do it. I really think she’d have been ok with it. Anyhow, I loved, loved, loved them and am anxiously awaiting more from you!

    • Kate Wrath

Thanks, Denise! I’m so glad you enjoyed them!

As for Jonas not wanting Eden to read the journal, he had no way of knowing what had happened. Anything that Jonas learned about their past came from Celine, Spec, Kobee, etc, and all of them believed that he *had* in fact been the mastermind behind Lily’s kidnapping (even though none of them understood how he had done it, or why he had left them out of the loop). So as far as Jonas knew, he had kidnapped Lily. There is only one person, by my count, that knows the truth of what happened… and he’s not talking. 😉

  6. Denise

Ahhh, yes, I did forget they didn’t know the truth. Thanks for clearing that up! Again, loved, loved, loved these books! You have such a way with words.

    • Kate

Any time, Denise! It gets pretty confusing by the time you’re this far in. Maybe I should put out an E Series refresher course. :p I think I’d sign up for that, myself!

Say something!!! :)
