Teaser fun…

I’ve been incredibly busy lately getting ready for the release of Evolution, so the blog has been a little neglected.

Here’s another lovely review of E.  This one is by author Elizabeth Davies.  I really enjoyed this review and loved that Elizabeth liked the book even though it isn’t her favorite genre.  🙂

And just for fun, I think I’ll post a series of photograph teasers as we move along toward launch.  Don’t take them too literally, OK?  This one made me think of Matt’s house.

"Every time I step inside I have the feeling of being somewhere else, like this place belongs to a world different than the one we live in now."

Cover Reveal

Cover of Kate Wrath's Evolution

Outpost Three is still standing… barely. But the deadliest threat it has ever faced is on its way– a violent force that will annihilate every man, woman, and child.

With the Sentries under his control and Grey’s army defeated, Matt is more powerful than ever. Eden is little more than his prisoner, but that line is blurring as her affection for him grows. Now, as the Outpost faces total destruction, Matt must sacrifice the possibility of attaining Eden’s love in the vague hope that her past might hold the key to saving them all.

Eden’s journey will begin to unravel the mysteries of her previous life, reveal dangerous new questions, and change not only the future of Outpost Three, but shape the course of history.

This eagerly anticipated sequel to Kate Wrath’s begins an epic quest into the dark, dystopian landscape of Eden’s world.

Um… like… OOPS?

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Hey all you fabulous blog subscribers! You wouldn’t believe the major OOPS I managed to create this afternoon. As I was getting ready for the big *drumroll* Cover Reveal of Evolution,  I created a test post of all the HTML that will go out to a good number of bloggers tonight for the official Cover Reveal on Wednesday.  (I’m sure you already know where this is going.)  OK.  *Something* went wrong.  Too little coffee.  Too much screen time.  Not enough technical prowess.  Whatever you want to call it.  *Somehow* I managed to make a test post that was supposed to be a private, detached webpage go out to all my social media, and email to all my blog subscribers.  So… can we just pretend like you didn’t see it yet?

Thanks!  Hopefully you are all looking forward to the Very Official Cover Reveal on Wednesday.  I know I am!

Salem’s Revenge strikes without warning or mercy, ravaging the powerless human race under the forces of united gangs of witches, wizards, and warlocks. During the slaughter, Rhett Carter’s foster parents and sister are killed, and his best friend and girlfriend are abducted by a gang of witches calling themselves the Necromancers, who deal in the dark magic of raising the dead. Rhett’s sword-wielding neighbor with a mysterious past saves Rhett from becoming another casualty of the massacre and teaches him the skills he needs to survive in this new world.Rhett is broken, his normal high school life of book blogging and football playing shoved in a witch-apocalyptic blender. The only thing he has left is his burning desire for revenge. Armed with his new witch hunting skills and a loyal, magic powered dog named Hex, he sets out into the unknown with one mission: hunt and destroy those who took away everyone he ever loved.

But Rhett isn’t just a witch hunter; He has secrets of his own that he has yet to discover, secrets that his enemies will stop at nothing to keep him from.

And discovering the truth about himself is the human race’s only hope.

Revenge. That’s all that’s left for witch hunter Rhett Carter. The magic-born have stripped everything from him – killed his friends, cursed his warlock father, shattered his future – leaving him bare and broken, but not dead. Their mistake. When Rhett and Laney are suddenly thrust in different directions, Rhett must decide who to trust and who to kill. Backed by his trusty canine sidekick Hex, Rhett will embark on his deadliest mission yet, one that will lead him directly toward those who want him dead, pushing his unique resistance to magic to the edge and back again as he tries to remove his father’s curse.

Separated from Rhett, Laney seeks to understand the strange changes to her sister, Trish, who’s believed to be the last living Clairvoyant, and what role she’s destined to play in the future of humankind.

Wrapped around everything are four major groups: the Necromancers, the Changelings, the witch hunters, and New America, the remnants of humanity. When the major forces are brought together for an epic battle, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Check out this new review from Kim over at Arkham Reviews.  I don’t think Kim missed a thing.  🙂

And for your viewing entertainment… rats.

Rats have become a bit of a “thing” in my family ever since I wrote E.  So… I had a late night at work last week.  My husband took care of dinner, fed the girls, and when I got home, they’d even saved me some.  Here’s what awaited me:

I named him “George”.

OK, I think that’s enough for one post!  I hope this finds you all well!  🙂

E Gets 5 Stars From Authors to Watch

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

I just wanted to share my latest review.  Author Tricia Drammeh read and reviewed E for her blog, Authors to Watch, and gave it five stars.

Only a very talented author could create beauty from such desolation, and that’s what Kate Wrath has done.

Two Lovely Reviews to Share

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

This week brought along two lovely editorial reviews, and I wanted to share them with you.

The first one was posted on Under the Oak Book Reviews by the fabulous Eila Oakes.

The second one was written by Emily over at rooftopreading.  Emily is an honorary Rock the Book chick who reviews some Indie books for us over at Rock the Book.  I was surprised (and delighted) to see she’d picked up my book to review on her blog!

Lots of thanks going out to both these ladies for taking the time to read E and write these awesome reviews!  🙂

My Friend’s Book Is Free (Today and Tomorrow)

posted in: Uncategorized | 1

Hey everyone!  Just a quick one to let you know that the lovely N. S. Dorrington is giving away her book, The Last Knight, today and tomorrow only.  Grab a copy and read up!

The Last Knight on Amazon

Like any teenage girl, Cara Page dreams of the future, the difference is, every day those dreams come true.

Now she’s dreaming of a boy, and a future that can’t be real. Because if it is, then everything she thought was myth and legend is actually true, and there is an evil coming that will tear the country apart.

Lance Filwer is a boy with secrets of his own, and a past full of mistakes he can’t undo. Cara is his second chance, his chance to succeed where he failed before – if only she’ll trust him enough to let him help her.

Cara needs to know what’s happening, but the answer lies in a long forgotten past, and an ancient legend. To find it Cara will have to travel into the depths of Wales, and the heart of ancient Britain.

Just remember, if you miss this couple of free days, you can read The Last Knight on Kindle Unlimited.
